Supply Chain Employee Spotlight
Employee name and title: Betsy, Senior Specialist Buyer
On a regular day, what are the tasks you are assigned? As a Buyer, we get the unique opportunity to work with just about every department in some capacity, this is one of the reasons I love my job. The first part of my day may begin working with marketing on updating the design of existing products. Afternoons, could be reviewing the production plan, ensuring we have everything on hand to meet the needs of our customers. And due to the time change, my evening might include a call with our Asia-base suppliers resolving issues, discussing current orders, or future projects. It’s a perfect mix of consistency and ambiguity. Since being a part of the FeraDyne team, how have you adjusted to the environment? Has it been a positive experience? In the wake of Covid 19 my first year at FeraDyne feels like a roller coaster. As many of you can probably relate, I’m still not sure how close is too close. So, while getting to know everyone has been slow-moving, it’s been very enjoyable. Everyone has been welcoming and very helpful. I’m proud to be part of this team. What is your educational background look like? I was born and raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and received my bachelor’s degree in Business Management for Northern Michigan University. I’ll always be a Yooper at heart! In 2019 I graduated with my MBA in Leadership and Change from The College of St. Scholastica. |
